Creating Podcast Intros

Ervin asked me how long it takes for me to create a 30 second podcast intro, such as the one I created for the Thirty Day Challenge last year.

Well, it took me a few hours one afternoon to write a script, record the script with the voiceover Jon Iles, and find some music and sound effects. That evening I probably spent another hour mixing it all together on Cool Edit Pro.

This was quite a complicated intro but I have created others in less than an hour – it really depends on what is required.

I have a lot of experience in this so expect it to take a lot longer for you until you know how your editing/mixing program works and you are used to putting all the different elements (voice, music, maybe sound effects) together.
